Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Unfortunately, our cruise ended in a shipwreck. Thankfully, every passenger and every crew member survived. That is what matters most. That makes it very difficult to rate this experience. The beginning of the trip was enjoyable, at least.
I want to thank our guide, Samsul, from the bottom of my heart. He carried an enormous responsibility after the accident. Despite the language barrier and the immense pressure, he spent days answering our questions, translating, reassuring us, and doing everything he could to help every passenger.
I also want to thank the young crew members, whose names I unfortunately don’t know. Their efforts did not go unnoticed.
To Golden Island Cruises : your crew deserves recognition, not blame. They were on the front line during the emergency and afterwards. If the reports I’ve heard are true and some of them have lost their jobs because of this accident, I sincerely hope you will reconsider. They should not be the ones paying the price for a tragedy that affected all of us.
Your communication after the accident also needs significant improvement. We were often left without clear information, and too much responsibility seemed to fall on Samsul instead of being handled directly by the company.
I appreciate that you arranged hotel accommodation for us and committed to refunding the cruise and covering replacement flights. I hope these promises will be fulfilled quickly for every passenger.
Above all, thank you to the crew. On behalf of all of us who survived this shipwreck, we will never forget your kindness, your courage, and everything you did for us.
